The highly competitive new vehicle market has had a significant impact on remarketing efforts. Customers have a greater number of choices, have more information, and have become increasingly more demanding at the end of term. Resale values continue to be volatile and are significantly influenced by the success or failure of remarketing efforts. Fortunately, adjustments in residual value projections three years ago are positioning Lenders to successfully liquidate their lease portfolios. This presents an opportunity to implement a strategic lease-end management approach which will benefit Lenders as well as Residual Value Risk Underwriters.

I believe with great passion that successful automotive lease portfolio management will be a strategic account-by-account approach and will involve the partnership and expertise of the Lender, Residual Value Risk Underwriters, and a Lease-End Management Team.
